17 September 2018, Kavre district, Nepal: Samjhana Mijar and her daughter Saloni are one of 15 Dalit households in Biruwa who have received LWF support to construct permanent houses and homes. The Lutheran World Federation World Service programme reaches communities far into the rural areas of Nepal. In the Kavre district, the programme runs a Post-Earthquake Rehabilitation and Livelihood Recovery Project. In the community of Biruwa, the LWF supports those most marginalized in Nepal society to construct earthquake-resilient houses for themselves.
