17 May 2023, Kakuma, Turkana County, Kenya: Delphin Matabaro (left), a refugee from DRC, and Fiilda Aparo Ochira (right), from Uganda, review pampers and sanitary pads they've made at the Jitegemee Business Centre in the Kakuma refugee camp, where the Lutheran World Federation offers space for refugees to work in a cooperative format to produce items such as tote bags, pampers and sanitary pads, thereby making an income to support themselves and become self-reliant – which is also the meaning of the word Jitegemee in Swahili.
