16 September 2023, Krakow, Poland: Bishop Henrik Stubkjær (left) of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denmark, nominee for LWF President, greets Polish historian and journalist Marian Turski (right), a Holocaust survivor having been imprisoned in the Łódź Ghetto since 1942 and later in Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp from 1944-1945, who earlier in the day shared his testimony with participants of the Lutheran World Federation (LWF) Thirteenth Assembly, held in Krakow, Poland on 13-19 September 2023 under the theme of ’One Body, One Spirit, One Hope’.
